STACKDES (Self Supported) is a stand-alone executable program that performs the overall structural analysis of Self Supported Steel Stacks. It uses a stiffness matrix to completely model the stack and it's loadings, and then applies the appropriate acceptance criteria based upon the user selected design code. The program also calculates the natural frequency of the structure so that the dynamic along wind and dynamic across wind (vortex) loads can be applied to the stack. The software includes many industry recognized codes and standards. Stackdes includes an integrated version of Cone, Baseplate, and Strucflg. That means the user can automatically design these components directly within Stackdes. A security key is shipped with each order, by default a USB security key will be shipped. We also offer a Parallel security key. If you prefer a Parallel security key please specify in the Comment Section of the order page. The security key will allow the user to operate the software. The installation of the software can be installed on multiple computers, but will be limited by the number of licenses purchased. These types of flanges are often difficult to design because there is not a commonly accepted procedure for the design of these types of flanges. STRUCFLG handles structural flanges either with or without gusset plates. The program also considers the preload that should be placed on the bolt in order to keep the joint in compression. Wind02 will handle low rise (<= 60 ft) buildings, using either the detailed (Method 2) or the simplified (Method 1) provisions. Wind02 can also be used to calculate wind loads on buildings greater than 60 ft in height. Wind02 will handle the following types of roof's: Different wind directions can be changed easily by re-entering the width and depth of the structure relative to the wind. All force coefficients are calculated for windward walls, leeward walls, side walls, roof's perpendicular to ridge, roof's parallel to ridge, and roof overhangs.
